A common use of this preconguration is for interfacing a copper link with a ber optic link on the primary ring and
interfacing a ber optic link with a copper link.
This preconguration of the ConneXium managed switch also enables Ethernet DIO device clouds to be
connected to the secondary ring.
Note: ConneXium switches apply a low priority to exchanges with Ethernet DIO devices, thus allowing deterministic data
exchanges between the PLC and the Ethernet RIO.
