Before complaining about damage to the thermostat, check this table to see if you can
remedy the fault yourself.
Fault Cause Remedy
Heat source will not heat. Target temperature is set
too low
Increase the target
temperature.
The current temperature
is measured incorrectly
Ensure that the sensor is not
placed too close to the heat
source and is not exposed to
direct sunlight.
Ensure that the sensor is
positioned so that it correctly
measures the temperature of
the medium.
Sensor or sensor cable
defective
Replace the thermostat.
Thermostat defective Replace the thermostat.
Heat source heats
permanently
Target temperature is set
too high.
Reduce the target
temperature.
Sensor or sensor cable
defective
Replace the thermostat.
Display is not lit The building’s power
supply has been
interrupted
Check the building’s power
supply.
Thermostat defective Replace the thermostat.
