1. Assembly
The water sensor is screwed to the oor with the contacts facing down. The borehole
is sealed with a suitable compound. The contacts can be increased by placing a
washer underneath. It is then not soil moisture but only the actual water level that is
detected.
2. Possibilities with 3 contacts (only SHT 5008)
2.1 simple connection with a 2-wire cable
The sensor inputs of the water alarms from Elektrotechnik Schabus are always 2-pole.
Any two wires of the SHT 5008 are twisted together.
2.2 Connection with logic evaluation (only with SHT 5000)
To increase the security against false alarms in the event of high (residual) humidity, a
oor sensor SHT 5008 can be connected to two sensor inputs of the SHT 5000 (item
no. 300744/300790).
The two assigned relays of the relay plug-in board are used for evaluation
(Art.No. 300747 see page 15) connected in series. The relays only switch through
when two of the contact bridges are wetted with water.
