Troubleshooting
• Access via public Int ernet address
indicates error, but access via home
network works
• Network access was interrupt ed, it
takes up to 10 minutes to regain
access
• The router d oes not allow Internet
access f rom home-network
• Wait and try again later
• In t he router firewal l you have to
allow por t 80 the access from inside
to o ut side. (Acce ss from the
Internet to the inside is not
necessary)
• Access via home network shows
error, but access to public Internet
address works
• The existing DHCP server does not
allow host name or it is no DHCP
server is available
• Access the con tro ller exclusively via
the public I nt ernet address
• Bring a cont emporary DHCP server
into operation
• No access possible, neither via
home net work or public Internet
address
• There is no DHCP server on the
home net work and the router does
not allow I nt ernet access
• Power on t he Router
• Use a fixed IP address
http://169.254.1.2 for access to the
user int erf ace
• The static IP address
http://169.254.1.2 is also not usable
from t he home network
• The controller was recent ly
powered on
• Wait, after 1 minute the controller
should be accessible
• Check net work technolo gie:
network cable, socket, switch,
router
• Connect a P C with a normal
network cable dire ctl y to the
controller and use fixed IP
