Remote Unit Configuration
Setting the Cable Length Jumpers
If your application uses an interconnection cable less than 75m in length, you can
continue to the next section.
SDLink Remote Units incorporate video equalization circuitry, allowing you to
compensate for the loss in image quality that occurs when video signals are
transmitted along lengthy CATx cables. At the factory, Remote Units are
configured to optimize the video signals for Interconnect cables up to 100m in
length.
If you intend to use cables of 100-300m in length:
1. Unfasten and remove the screws on each side of the Remote Unit.
2. Carefully remove the top plate.
3. Locate the three cable length jumpers on the Remote Unit’s main circuit
board (see Figure 2).
