Status bars at the bottom of the dialog are used to display the COM
port number, confirmation of send/receive, and the name of the
currently selected configuration preset.
The menu has four options:
— records current configuration to
the currently loaded file. If no file is
loaded, the operation is identical to "Save
As..."
— allows user to select the
name for the configuration file.
— loads previously recorded
configuration settings.
— terminates the program.
The menu has two options:
— displays the
Program Options dialog.
— restores
the default configuration settings,
which are compatible with most
vehicle inspection programs.
— select the
correct port number for communicat-
ing with the device.
— show helpful hints
when cursor hovers over a user
interface item (button, checkbox, etc).
— refresh the list
of available COM ports.
