Handshaking
RTS/CTS ON – Output a Request to
Send (RTS) signal and wait for a
Clear to Send (CTS) signal before
transmitting data
<RTS/CTS OFF>
ACK/NAK ON – After transmitting
data, wait for host to send an ACK
or a NAK response. If ACK is
received, then complete the data
transmission. If NAK is received,
re-send the last set of data and
wait for ACK/NAK again.
<ACK/NAK OFF>
XON/XOFF ON – After transmitting
data, wait for host to send an XON
or a XOFF response. If XON is
received, then complete the data
transmission. If XOFF is received,
stop the transmission.
