WELCOME! family to the Podspeaker We hope that you will enjoy the sound of SmallPod Air and welcome you into the Podspeaker family. We encourage you to please read this manual to properly acquaint yourself with SmallPod Air and its features.
A World of streaming Wireless sound is all about simplicity. Nothing about it is difficult. Nothing about it is complicated. You don't need an engineering degree or an IT specialist in the house to get you going. - Setup is easy. Music is in the air. AIRPLAY - apple AirPlay technology allows you to stream audio instantly within a Wi-Fi network. You can stream from iTunes - both on Mac and PC - or you can use your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.

SETUP AIRPLAY WITH USB CABLE 10 SETUP AIRPLAY WITH USB CABLE • • • • Turn SmallPod Air on. Connect your iOS device (iOS 5 or later) and SmallPod Air with an Apple 30-pin / Lightning connection cable. Press the “setting” button and the dialog “Share Wi-Fi Settings” will pop up. Press “Allow” on your iOS device and wait for SmallPod Air to reboot. SmallPod Air is ready when the status indicator turns "solid" blue.
SETUP AIRPLAY WITH USB CABLE 11 LET YOUR MUSIC STREAM • Select the music source/music app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and press the “AirPlay” icon. • Choose SmallPod Air. • Press “Play” and let the music stream.
MAC / PC SETUP 12 TURN ON SMALLPOD AIR Make sure that your home Wi-Fi is up and running and within range of both SmallPod Air and your Mac/PC. • • • Long press the "setting" button on the remote for about 2 seconds, to trigger the system into Wi-Fi connect mode. Connect to the network named BCOJBConnectXXXXXXXXX Open your browser, enter the numbers 192.168.1.12 in the adress line and press “ENTER”.
MAC / PC SETUP 13 SETUP YOUR SPEAKER • • • Scroll down to "Choose your network" and press "Select Option". Choose the SSID of your wireless network and enter the password. Press "save" to connect to the network.
MAC / PC SETUP 14 rename smallpod air (optional) • Scroll down to "Name Your Product", enter a name of your choosing and press "apply". Note! Changing the name of SmallPod Air is not a requirement and has no influence on its functionality.
MAC / PC SETUP 15 Connect to your home network • • Open “Wi-Fi” connections on your Mac/PC. Choose your Home Wi-Fi network. If the “Status Indicator” is BLUE you've done it right and SmallPod Air is now ready for AirPlay. If the setup was not succesfull, please go back to page 12 and give it another try.
MAC / PC SETUP 16 let the music stream FROM iTUNES • • • Open “iTunes” on your Mac/PC. Click “AirPlay” icon and choose SmallPod Air. Press “Play” and let the music stream.
MAC / PC SETUP 17 select smallpod air as output device on your mac • • • • Hold down the "alt" key on your keyboard and click on the speaker icon in the menu bar. Select SmallPod Air from the list of output devices. Open the music media application on your Mac. Press “Play” and let the music stream.
Safety instructions The lightening flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user of the presence of uninsulated “dangerous voltage” within the products enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electrical shock to persons.
• • • • • • • Do not install near any heat sources, such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other apparatus that produce heat. Only connect power cord to a polarized and safety grounded outlet wired to current electrical codes and compatible with voltage power and frequency requirements stated on the rear panel of the speakers. Protect the power cord from being walked on, pinched or strained. Unplug the speakers during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time. Use proper power sources.
Limited warranty Dear Customer This product has been designed and manufactured to the highest quality standards, however if something goes wrong with this product, Scandyna A/S and the country distributor, warrants free replacement parts or repair by the official Scandyna distributor. This limited warranty is valid for the original owner for a period of one year from the date of purchase and it is not transferable.
How to claim parts or repair under warranty: To have your product serviced under warranty, you must contact the dealer from where you bought the SmallPod Air. You will need to produce this warranty booklet completed and stamped by your dealer on the date of purchase. Alternatively you will need the original sales invoice or other proof of ownership and date of purchase. The supplier is liable only to repair or replace defective parts or products.
