The IP011 or IP421 must be installed to use the model 7020 as a printer. The serial connector on
the right side is for future KRDS use. The parallel connector on the right side is for the ISW
interface.

CAUSE: First mirror frame is out of adjustment.
SOLUTION: To align the mirrors, perform the following:
1. Power OFF the main switch and sub power switch.
2. Remove platen glass.

on page 3-10 in the 7020 Service Manual.

How to interrupt a print job.DESCRIPTION: SOLUTION ID:

To interrupt a print job, perform the following:
1. Press Interrupt button as the machine is processing the print job.
Note: The machine will have to complete a set of the print job when the Interrupt button was
pressed.
2. Place the originals in document feeder or one sheet on the glass.
3. Select desired copy features.
Note: Stapling, duplex and other advanced features are available in interrupt mode.
4. Press Interrupt button to exit this mode.
5. Press Scanner/Printer.
Note: Interrupt will work the same way with IP011 or IP421 installing in the 7020.
6. Press Start button to resume the print job.

Unable to perform Centering Adjustments.DESCRIPTION: SOLUTION ID:

CAUSE: Frame Erasure is enabled.
SOLUTION: Disable the Frame Erasure feature. To perform the Centering Adjustments, perform
the following:
1. Access the 36 mode (power the machine ON while holding down the 3 and 6 keys).
2. Select [2: Timing adj.].
3. Select [5: Centering adj.].
4. Use the NEXT and BACK keys to select (Centering Adjustment (ALL)).
5. Enter a value from -53 to +53 and press SET (1 step = 0.09mm).
6. Press the COPY key.
7. Press Start print.
8. Press * and hold, and press #, this will display adjustment screen.
9. Enter a value from -53 to +53 and press SET (1 step = 0.09mm).
10. Press the COPY key.
11. Power the machine OFF/ON to exit the 36 mode.
Note: All mainbody centering adjustments must be completed prior to adjusting the RADF.

Machine without finisher stops at every 100 copies.DESCRIPTION: SOLUTION ID:

SOLUTION:
CAUSE: When "Stop machine at excessive paper loading" is set to Yes for the machine without
finisher and high volume copy is made, the machine stops at every 100 copies with a message
"Restart". The machine restarts by pressing "Start" key.
SOLUTION: Install version 25.0 (or latest) firmware. Copying is possible until the excessive paper
loading is detected. When it is detected, the machine stops with a message "Remove paper and
restart" and restarts by pressing "Start" key. This feature is controlled by dipswitch 15-6 (25 mode)
as shown below:
Dipswitch 15-6=0; Do not display message. Do not stop machine (Factory setting)
Dipswitch 15-6=1; Displays message. Machine stops after 100 copies.
