SOLUTION:
CAUSE: The paper exit detecting spring has weakened and does not allow exit actuator/2 to
properly flag PS303 (original exit photosensor).
SOLUTION: Replace the paper exit detecting spring (p/n 13GL46680) as needed.

SOLUTION:
To FTP Print via the internal NIC in the IP422, perform the following:
1. From a workstation on the network select the DOS command prompt screen and go to the DOS
prompt.
2. Type 'FTP' and then press 'Enter'.
3. Type 'open<one space><TCP/IP* address of the NIC where the file is to be sent>' and then
press 'Enter'. The display will show:
User (IP address of the device): (none)):
4. Type 'PORT1' and then press 'Enter'. The display will show:
230 User name Okay, logged in.
5. Type 'lcd' and then press 'Enter'. The display will show:
Local directory now C:\.
6. Type 'put<one space><file name and extension of the file you want to print>' and then press
'Enter'.
7. The file will print immediately. The display will show:
200 Port command OK."

Notes:
1. The internal NIC must be at least version 6.30a
2. Only FTP via a DOS command prompt works.
3. The file must be located on the workstation's drive and must be one of the following types: txt,
prn, pcl or ps. Only these file types are printer ready files and will print correctly.

CAUSE: There is a difference in height of the v-mirror from the front to the rear.
SOLUTION: To correct the height of the v-mirror, perform the following:
1. Remove the platen glass.
2. Pull the v-mirror to the right until the v-mirror is clearly visible.
3. Reinstall the platen glass (with the glass edge) over the v-mirror frame.
4. Measure the distance of the v-mirror to the glass on the front side and then the rear side.
5. If there is a difference, reform either the front or rear bracket that appears to be deformed.
