6-2-2. Signals sent from L2 to L3 The following signals are sent from L2 to the L3. Note that some of these
signals are event indications, and are only sent if the L3 has registered for
receipt of them with the CBI_M2_EV_REGISTER request.
CBI_M2_AVAILABLE Notifies the L3 that L2 initialization is
complete and that the L2 is available to send
messages.
CBI_M2_UNAVAILABLE Notifies the L3 that the L2 is now unavailable
to send messages. The only message that the
L3 may send to the L2 after receipt of this
message is a CBI_M2_MGMT_UNREGISTER.
CBI_M2_EV_INDICATION L2 notifies the L3 of the occurrence of an
event for which it has registered.
CBI_M2_LINK_CONGESTED Indicates that the transmitter is congested.
CBI_M2_LINK_CONGSTN_
CEASED
Indicates that the transmitter is no longer
congested.
CBI_M2_IN_SERVICE Indicates the link is available for data
transmission.
CBI_M2_OUT_OF_
SERVICE
Indicates the link is not available for data
transmission.
CBI_M2_RETRIEVED_
MESSAGE
Returns non-acknowledged, retrieved
messages to the L3. This signal is sent in
response to a CBI_M2_RETRIEVAL_REQ_FSNC
message.
CBI_M2_RETRIEVAL_
COMPLETE
Indicates that retrieval of non-acknowledged
messages is complete. This is the final signal
in the sequence of messages sent in response
to a CBI_M2_RETRIEVAL_REQ_FSNC
message.
CBI_M2_RETRIEVAL_
NOT_POSS
Indicates that retrieval of non-acknowledged
messages is not possible. No further
messages are sent in response to a
CBI_M2_RETRIEVAL_REQ_FSNC message.
CBI_M2_BSNT Returns the BSNT value. This signal is sent in
response to a CBI_M2_RETRIEVE_BSNT
signal.
CBI_M2_BSNT_NOT_
RETRIEVABL
Notifies the L3 that the BSNT cannot be
retrieved. This signal is sent in response to a
CBI_M2_RETRIEVE_BSNT signal.
