5-1. Level 2 - Level 3 Management Interface
The Level 2 - Level 3 Management Interface allows an L3 component to
manage the operation of an L2 component.
This interface allows:
• registration and unregistration of L3 with the management interface
• control and reporting of the link state
• control over the link proving mode
• local and remote processor outage
• support for link changeover
• notification of link congestion
• gathering of static and dynamic information
• monitoring of events detected by L2
