6. Close and screw the battery compartment again. Make sure everything is clean and the two
O-rings are seated correctly.
CAUTION! If you want to mount power2max powermeter with a 130 mm BCD aero chainring,
you must shorten the chain catcher at the battery cover by 1 ... 2 mm to avoid its collision
with the chainring. Then, the distance between chainring and chain catcher in mounting po-
sition should be about 1 mm. For shortening by grinding, we recommend the use of abrasive
paper.
7. The start-up procedure for the
power2max powermeter is
now completed.
You can start off!
4. Insert the supplied RENATA CR2450 battery. Pay attention to the correct polarity. The POSITIVE
pole (face of battery) must be visible after the battery has been inserted.
5. The battery compartment accommodates two LEDs
for function checks enabling you to easily check the
operability and start the system quickly and hassle-
free.
After the battery has been inserted, the powermeter
signals readiness for service by a short flashing in se-
conds of the green LED for about 20 seconds.
During this period, the
power2max powermeter starts
emitting radio signals that can be received by an
ANT+ capable bike computer.
Now, start the teach-in mode to adjust the
power2max powermeter to your ANT+ capable
bike computer. Observe the operating instructions of the manufacturer concerned.
Synchronizing with the transmitter is needed only once upon the initial start-up. Multiple systems
at different bikes should be started successively to avoid undesired assignments of different
power2max powermeters and bike computers.
CAUTION:
In the case of a too low battery voltage, no performance can be measured. Such condition
will be signalled by a permanent lighting of the
power2max powermeter’s red LED.
