Setting one Original at a Time in the Document Feeder
If you set one original at a time in the document feeder, the second and subsequent
originals can be fed and copied automatically without pressing the Start key.
Note
❐ Do not press down or hold originals after inserting them.
❐ While originals are fed from the original table to the exposure glass (platen glass),
do not pull them out.
❐ Do not lift the document feeder until the original has been completely fed out.

Correct any curl, fold, or crease in the
originals before setting.

Make sure the Insert Original indica-
tor is lit and the exposure glass (platen
glass) is clear of originals.

Adjust the guide to the original size.

Set the original face up into the docu-
ment feeder until the Insert Original
indicator goes off.
Note
❐ If you are copying a stack of originals
one sheet at a time and you want to
keep them in order, start with the last
page of the originals.
❐ The original guide must touch the front
side of the original.
