8.3 BY-PASS FEED UNIT REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the right cover, the right rear cover, and the right front cover (see

procedure 1.7).

2. Remove the by-pass feed table (see procedure 8.1).

3. Remove the developer collection bottle/supply funnel ass’y [A] from its

storage position (1 screw).

4. Open the vertical transport door [B].

5. To remove the by-pass feed unit [C]

1) Remove the 2 connectors and 2 screws.

2) Carefully remove the front end [D] of the by-pass feed unit and slowly

pull it free.

3) Gently twist the by-pass feed unit and completely remove it.

NOTE: While removing the by-pass feed unit, take care not to damage the

gears at the rear end of the unit.
