The paper size switch [A] detects the paper size. The paper size switch
consists of five microswitches. The paper size switch is actuated by an
actuator plate [B] on the rear of the tray. The actuator is slid across to match
the paper size. Each paper size has its own unique combination of switch
states, as shown in the table. The CPU determines the paper size by the
signal combination from the paper size switch.
