the control panel. Output options include a
choice of finishers: the tested 1,000-sheet fin-
isher, which offers three-position stapling of up
to 50 sheets per set; and a 500-sheet finisher,
which staples up to 30 sheets per set in one
position.
Shortcomings
BLI test technicians observed only one minor
shortcoming of the Ricoh Aficio 2022SP in the
tests: Ease of adjusting paper drawers was
rated “Fair.”
Pricing Analysis And Summary
BLI’s retail pricing analysis indicates that the
Ricoh Aficio 2022SP is priced competitively with
the average for comparably equipped models
in the 17- to 27-ppm speed range. Moreover,
the unit’s supplies cost per page is slightly lower
than the average for tested Segment 2 models.
Consequently, because of its outstanding over-
all performance in BLI’s tests, including its flaw-
less reliability and outstanding productivity, the
Ricoh Aficio 2022SP is highly recommended by
BLI for offices in need of a multifunctional prod-
uct for monthly volumes of up to 25,000 impres-
sions.
