Enhanced Security Features for Ultra-Secure Environments
For environments with intense data security, compliance issues, and/or user access requirements, the Savin
CLP42DN is equipped with the necessary hardware and software options to enable E
Enh ance d Locke d Print
(E LP-NX)
as a standard function.
See Savin CLP42DN Product Positioning for a description of the ELP-NX workflow.
Standard Locked Print versus Enhanced Locked Print-NX:
Using the Locked Print feature allows a user to print a job and assign a password to the document. Upon arrival
at the printer, the user scrolls though all locked print jobs to locate and release their specific job with the
password. Print data is not encrypted.
Enhanced Locked Print-NX provides these added benefits:
Upon arriving at the printer and inputting a password,
the u
use r will onl y see print jo b s corre spon ding
to their ID
. This is more secure than allowing users to
see all locked print jobs.
All jobs stored on the HDD of the printer are
autom atically encry pted
for maximum protection.
When the account's network is configured with the
optional FlexRelease Server, users can s
securely
forwar d print jo bs fro m an y computer to
another ELP- NX ena ble d device
for printing
elsewhere on the network for a more flexible printing
environment.
Option al C ard Au thentic ation Pac kage (C AP)
.
Whereas earlier versions of the ELP function required
the use of a card reader, ELP-NX makes this an option.
Users can now enter passwords using the 12-key
alphanumeric keypad. Of course, the CAP option is still
available for use with the Savin CLP42DN for
environments already using magnetic stripe cards for
building or room access.
