Color Registration/Calibration/Print Position Adjustment
The Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN offers several maintenance modes to ensure maximum image quality. Some of
these settings are performed automatically at predetermined intervals, and can also be easily initiated by walk-
up users at any time:
Color Regi str ation Adju stment:
After moving the printer,
printing onto thick stocks, or printing a very long job, some
color degradation may occur. Select Auto Adjust under Color
Registration to return the printer to optimal quality conditions.
Color Gra dation/Cali bration Correction:
Color
gradation and density can shift slightly over the course of time
due to changes in temperature, humidity, or if a toner color
was recently replaced. Users can print a calibration sample
sheet to check image quality against default values and then
adjust each color.
Print Po sitio n Adju stment:
Users can shift the print
position of the image on the page along the horizontal axis to
ensure content is centered on the page. This function may be
required occasionally when an optional Paper Feed Unit is
installed.
Media Optimization
Within the printer driver users can select the type of media for each job. Depending upon the
type/weight/finish selected, the printer may adjust its speed and features to provide optimal image quality. For
example, the printer will slow down to allow for more fusing time when printing onto coated stocks, and disable
duplexing when printing onto label sheets. Users can choose from the following media types:
Plain Paper
Letterhead
Coated Paper (Glossy)
Coated Paper (Glossy: Thick)
Coated Paper (Matted)
