Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN

The Universal Driver will be a big time-saver for IT personnel, eliminating the headaches of supporting and

upgrading multiple users and devices with the latest driver versions. It is an effective solution for large

organizations with a variety of printing devices and large populations of users. For you as a sales rep, the

advantage here is that you can easily build a proposal featuring "right-sized" devices that can all be accessed

by a single driver and eliminate compatibility issues. For accounts adding to their existing fleet of office

equipment, new Savin MFPs and printers can easily be accessed using the same drivers, eliminating end-user

learning curves.

Notes

• The Universal Driver supports Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Server 2003, Server 2008/R2 and Novell

Netware when using the PCL 6 page description language and driver.

• The printer must be connected via the Ethernet network interface.

• The Universal Driver is available via Web download only and is not included on the CD ROM.

• Due to the overlapping functionality with the Mobile Driver, support for that utility will be discontinued

effective January 1, 2010.

Most printer drivers for supported PDLs are included on the Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN Desktop Color Laser

Printer CD ROM. Several updated versions such as the XPS and Universal drivers are available for download

from the Savin Website. The following table outlines the wide range of printing features available to connected

users when they launch any of the supported printer drivers.
