XPS Driver Support
XPS is the name of the driver optimized for computers using
the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. XPS supports
resolution levels up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. It offers a look and
feel very similar to the other drivers, with added functionality
for Vista environments. An XPS document can be used to
archive content in a standardized format or publish content in
an easily viewable form. This format can also be utilized to
ensure that no one is able to edit the original work. With
Windows Vista, XPS documents can be easily created from
virtually any application using the Microsoft XPS Document
Writer and viewed using the XPS Viewer, which is installed by
default.
PCL 6 Universal Printer Driver
The Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN also supports Savin's new Universal Driver technology that can be used to
access all Savin MFPs and printers. The Universal Driver will reduce the burden of IT personnel and users by
eliminating the need to install machine-specific drivers each time a new printer or MFP is installed on the
network.
Universal Driver: When the target device is a color machine, the user interface automatically changes to reflect
that machine's capabilities.
When the Savin Universal Driver is loaded onto a machine, it gets device information from the printer MIB via
bidirectional communication. If the device is an applicable model, the driver interface will change to the
interface of the target device, reflecting its capabilities and options. The user then programs a print job just like
any other.
