This in-line drum design allows for toner cartridges and photoconductor units to be replaced individually as

needed. Customers get maximum use and value from every consumable element – no more throwing away

partially used supplies when only one color has reached its yield.

One new design change that improves user

friendliness is one-step toner replacement.

Whereas the Savin CLP131DN required

sliding and then locking/unlocking each

toner bottle into place, in the new Savin

CLP37DN/CLP42DN users simply slide in a

new bottle in a single step. No locking is

required – just push the toner bottle into

place until a click is heard.

Another enhancement is the design and

position of the control panel. In addition to

providing a 12-key alphanumeric keypad

and well spaced, clearly labeled keys and

indicators, the entire front of the machine

has been redesigned to tilt the control

panel and 4-line Liquid Crystal Display for a

wider field of viewable angles from either

standing or sitting positions.

Further, the Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN's short, soft curved paper path allows for thicker stock acceptance

throughout the system, as well as easy mis-feed clearance in the event of a paper jam – all paper jams are

always cleared from the front of the unit.

Simplex prints (paper path noted in blue) are made when paper travels vertically up through the engine and

sent directly to the top exit tray. Because of its short, soft curve paper path, the Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN

reliably prints onto thick paper stocks as heavy as 59 lb. Bond (120 lb. Index) via the Standard Tray and

optional PFUs, and up to 69 lb. Bond (140 lb. Index) via the Bypass.

Duplex prints (paper inversion path noted in red) are made by returning the sheet to the imaging area through

a series of rollers where it is inverted for second side imaging before being sent to the top exit tray. This short,

direct paper path from the integrated duplex unit contributes to two-sided print speeds almost equal to simplex

speeds for maximum productivity, and allows media up to 90 lb. Index to be printed on both sides

automatically.
