Savin CLP37DN/CLP42DN Page Yields Defined:
Savin is transitioning to the ISO/IEC 19798 international standard as its benchmark process for quantifying
toner cartridge yield measurements. This standard has been voluntarily adopted by all of our competitors and
ensures an apples-to-apples comparison of supply yields and printing costs across all manufacturers' devices.
This process uses a suite of five test pages,
shown here and defined in ISO/IEC 24712.
These documents represent more realistic
customer output and replace the previous "5%
image coverage" standard for calculating page
yields.
Therefore, note that while the CLP131DN and
the new CLP37DN/CLP42DN use the same
toner type, published yields and CPPs are
different in part due to the use of the new
ISO/IEC 19798 image coverage standard and
testing methodology.
