Making the Settings Related to the
Orientation of the Original and Scanned
Sides
To correctly display the top/bottom
orientation of a scanned original on a
client computer, page flow and origi-
nal orientation must be set when plac-
ing the original.
This section explains how to config-
ure settings for page flow and origi-
nal orientation. In addition, this
section explains how to configure set-
tings for SADF/Batch, Mixed Sizes,
Divide and Stamp.
For E-mail, Scan to Folder, and
a Network Delivery Scanner
A Make settings for page flow by
pressing [1 Sided Orig.] or [2 Sided
Orig.].
Note
The defaults can be changed us-
ing [Original Setting], [Original Ori-
entation Priority], [Switch to Batch],
[Mixed Original Sizes Priority] of
[Scanner Features]. See p.105
“Scan Settings”.
One-sided original/Two-sided
original selection
A When scanning one-sided orig-
inals, make sure that [1 Sided
Orig.] is selected.
B
When scanning two-sided orig-
inals,
press [2 Sided Orig.] to se-
lect [2 Sided Orig.: T to T] or [2
Sided Orig.: T to B] according to
the binding orientation of the
original.
C When the last page of two-sid-
ed originals is blank, select [1
Side] to skip that side and fin-
ish scanning, or select [2 Sides]
to scan that side as a blank
page.
Note
When [1 Side] is selected for
[Last Page], the file size will
be bigger than a file resulting
from individually scanning
the same pages. If the size of
the e-mail exceeds the limit
specified, the e-mail cannot
be sent. In this case, change
the setting of [Max. E-mail Size]
of [Scanner Features]. See
p.110 “Send Settings”.
