Staple
The following table shows the staple positions.
Note
❒ Stapling depends on paper size, paper type, number of pages and feed direc-
tion.
Reference
• For paper sizes and maximum numbers of sheets available for stapling, see
“Staple”, Copy Reference.
• For printing method, see the printer driver's Help.
• The stapling position will change when using PostScript 3 . For more infor-
mation, see the PostScript 3 printer driver's Help.
Limitation
❒ Stapling can be done only with the optional finisher installed on the machine.
❒ Stapling cannot be done when paper is fed from the optional bypass tray.
❒ Thick paper, OHP transparencies, and labeled paper cannot be stapled.
❒ You cannot interrupt the current job with a job for another function requiring
stapling or sorting.
