Future use with the SR860 booklet finisher (B468)
At present, the EB105EX controller does not support use with the SR860 booklet finisher
due to paper jams that sometimes occur with the current system software.
The patch file is currently being created to support this finisher. However, until the official
release please do not install
this controller on machines using the SR860.
Important notes for EB-105EX installation
Input Voltage
As mentioned in the Service Manual, before connecting the AC power cord to the
EB105EX controller, be sure to check that the 115V/230V switch on the rear of the unit
has been set to the proper input voltage. If it has not, use a screwdriver to change the
setting. Please note that if this setting is not checked, the controller power supply unit can
be damaged.
Service code display at installation
Please perform the following if SC919, SC955, or SC990 is triggered during installation.
1. Turn the B-C2 main power OFF, then the controller power OFF. Next, turn the B-C2
main power ON, then the controller power ON.
2. If the SC is not cleared, make sure that the interface cable, video board and
extension card have been installed properly.
3. If the SC is still not cleared, re-install the system software.
4. If the SC is still not cleared, replace the interface cable, video board or extension
card, and if necessary the controller unit.
Information regarding the system software CD
The system software begins from V1.01, and is available on CD-ROM as a service part
(P/N #G3536781). Please use this version whenever re-installing the system software.
Note:
Unlike previous models, the system software on the EB105EX is updated by CD, as
network and parallel port installation are not supported on this model.
