A boot SD card was released as a service tool for the Bellini-C2 (P/N
B6456080)
. This
RTB explains the background and important notes for when you use this card in the field.

Up until now, if the boot area on the controller board is damaged (see
Important
), the
machine cannot boot up and the controller board must be replaced. The boot SD card
was developed as a solution to this.
Important: Make sure NOT to turn the main power OFF during a firmware update,
because this is what damages the boot area.

You can use the boot SD card to boot up the machine if the boot area on the
controller board is damaged. You do not have to replace the controller board.
In most cases, you only need to do this once. After that, the machine can boot
up without the boot SD card.
This will increase both machine uptime and service efficiency.
Note: Keep in mind that this boot SD card does not solve every kind of boot-up failure.

1. Insert the boot SD card into the C1 slot.
2. Turn controller board DIP SW4 #2 and #6 ON (lower position).
Note: DIP SW4 #2 is usually ON (lower position).
3. Turn the main power ON.
Note:
After the machine boots up, it will install the firmware stored on the boot SD
card. This firmware is the newest B-C2 a/b version

4. Turn the main power OFF.
5. Remove the boot SD card from the C1 slot.
