SYMPTOM
The EB-105EX suddenly drops off the network.
This problem may happen when the EB-105EX is connected to a 10-BaseT network
and in addition when
the network traffic is heavy.
or
multiple print jobs are sent to the EB-105EX.(= network traffic becomes heavy)
CAUSE
The EPROM on the motherboard, which uses an Intel chip, had a bug.
AFFECTED UNITS
Please refer to the serial number list, which is included at the bottom of this RTB.
SOLUTION
“LAN UPDATE PROGRAM for EB-105EX V.1.0.0” should be used to remove the bug.
- The program runs automatically, so there is no need to use a keyboard.
- The update procedure is written on the instruction sheet, which is attached to the CD.
The instructions can also be found on the CD as a binary document file.
- The procedure can be done with or without the controller connected to the copier mainframe.
