CHANGE, BACKGROUND
In order to further ensure working safety, a protective cover has been added to the
positioning bracket on the controller box (see the photo on the next page).
SOLUTION
Permanent
A protective cover will be added to the entire area surrounding the bracket from the end of
January 2004 production.
Note:
This part will be registered as a service part and its P/N announced by MB, along
with the cut-in production S/N.
Temporary Solution for MIF
Install a temporary protective seal at the next service visit (see the next page for the
attachment position).
Note: This seal is different from the permanent seal mentioned above to be applied to
production (no service P/N).
