-Low Power Mode
If you do not operate the machine for a specified period of time after an opera-
tion, or when you press the {

} key, the display disappears and the
machine goes into Low Power mode. When you press the {

again, the machine returns to the “Ready” status. In Low Power mode, the ma-
chine uses less electricity.

-System Reset
The machine automatically returns to its initial condition when a job is finished,
after a specified period of time. This function is called “System Reset”.

The machine automatically turns itself off after a job is finished, after a specified
period of time. This function is called “Auto Off”.

Auto Off Timer will not operate in the following cases:
• When a warning message appears
• When the service call message appears
• When paper is jammed
• When the cover is open
• When the “Adding Toner” message appears
• When toner is being added
• When the User Tools or Counter screen is displayed
• When fixed warm-up is in progress
• When printer or other functions are operating
