Setting Up:
(1) Loosen the knob at the base of the stand to extend the legs outward at a 45° angle
from the table for the most secure position. Tighten the knob to secure the legs. Flip open
the knob on the stand upright to extend it to your desired height, and close to lock.
(2) Loosen the lower knob on the lightstand adapter at the bottom of the ring light and
slide onto the top of the light stand. Tighten the adapter knob to secure.
(3) If tilting is desired, loosen the upper knob on the lightstand adapter, tilt to desired angle
and retighten. Always tilt the light over one of the three legs for stability.
(4) Plug the AC power cord into a household socket.
(5) If desired, slide the included mirror into the shoe mount located at the bottom inside of
the ring light. Tighten the knurled knob above the mirror shoe mount to secure it in place.
(6) If you are using the camera on your mobile phone, tighten the included bendable arm
with attached phone holder into either of the (2) ¼”-20 threads on the bottom front of the
ring light.
(7) Press the side of your mobile phone into the top of the phone holder. The holder will
expand until it has gripped both sides of the phone. The arm can be bent to achieve any
desired camera angle.
Ring light is also compatible with any standard light stand; simply place bottom bracket over light stand adapter and
tighten side knob to secure.
Ring light Control Settings
Press the red On/Off Power button. The ring light will turn on and display either a daylight
temperature reading between 3200K and 5500K or “H” followed by a number between
0 – 36, if last used in RGB Mode.
FOR DAYLIGHT USE:
If the ring light displays the letter “H” followed by a number, hold the control knob down for
2 seconds. The ring light will switch from RGB mode to daylight mode. In this mode, you
can adjust the Kelvin temperature from 3200K to 5500K.
3200K Will provide a warm look similar to a cool white incandescent bulb.
5500K Will simulate true daylight and will give the most accurate color reproduction. You
can also select a wide range of Kelvin temperatures between 3200K and 5500K to match
available light in your current environment.
Once the desired color temperature is set, press the control knob once. The display will
show a “P” followed by a number between 10 – 100 to represent the power level of the
light output. Turn the control knob counterclockwise to reduce the light output or clockwise
to increase.
FOR RGB COLOR USE:
If the ring light displays a number between 3200 - 5500, hold the control knob down for 2
seconds. The display will show a “H” followed by a number to represent the selected
hue. In this mode, you can select between 360 different colors.
0 = RED, 120 = GREEN, 240 = BLUE
Other values are a combination of red, green and blue to achieve all other possible colors.
Once the desired color is set, press the control knob once. The display will show a “P”
followed by a number between 10 – 100 to represent the power level of the light output.
Turn the control knob counterclockwise to reduce the light output or clockwise to increase.
