Fault Potential cause Remedy
No round chambered. Magazine not properly inserted
or closed, deformed or dirty.
Gun faulty.
Insert magazine completely until
catch or close (see section 5.8.2).
Repair by manufacturer.
Gun is loaded and cocked.
When trigger is pulled, no shot
is fired.
Gun is not completely unlocked. Close slide completely (see
section 5.7.2).
Pull cocking slide manually back
and cock again.
Gun does not advance a new
round automatically or clamps it
tight.
Gun is not held properly in the
shoulder.
Gun faulty.
Decock the gun
(see section 6.2).
Open slide
(see section 5.7.1).
Load new round.
Pull gun tight into the shoulder.
Repair by manufacturer.
Gun decocks automatically
when firing.
When cocking the bolt for
cocking slide (117) did not
emerge completely out of the
cocking slide.
When cocking the cocking bolt
for cocking slide must emerge
completely out of the cocking
slide.
Cocking slide is in front position,
when trigger is pulled no shot is
fired and no cut off of the
hammer.
Gun is not decocked.
Gun faulty.
Pull cocking slide back until it
engages audibly. Then cocking
according to handling and
safety instructions.
Repair by manufacturer.
