3. After a reaction time of at least 60 minutes
wipe dry and polish the gun with a clean cloth.
4. Dependent on the weather and frequency of

Note:
The sling attachments must also be cleaned
regularly and their locking mechanism oiled.
So-called "water stains" on the stock after rain
cannot be avoided. Dependent on the
limestone, dust and dirt particle content of the
rain this phenomenon is stronger or weaker. It
is not a defect in the stock finish.
12 Trouble-shooting
12.1 Cause and correction of malfunctions
Gun maintenance (cleaning and inspection)
according to the instructions can prevent
malfunctions.
Should, nevertheless, a malfunction occur during
shooting, proceed as follows:
1. Remove magazine and unload the gun (see
section 5.8.1).
2. Open the bolt.
The cartridge or cartridge case is pulled out
of the barrel chamber and ejected.
3. Check that no bullet, round, cartridge case or
foreign matter is in the barrel chamber or
barrel. If a projectile is lodged in the bore, strip
the gun (see section 7) and have the blockage
removed with a suitable tool by a qualified
gunsmith.
4. Remove all rounds, cases or foreign bodies.
Clean, lubricate and assemble the gun (see
section 11 and 8).
5. Have the gun inspected by an armourer or
gunsmith.
