Step 2 å å å Turn four CAM SCREWS (8F) into the LEGS (G and H). NOTE: Be sure to use the exact holes shown in the LEGS. Push eight HIDDEN CAMS (1F) into the ENDS (A and B). Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM except for the side edges of the ENDS. 8F G H Arrow 1F Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step. (8 used) Do not insert CAM DOWELS into these edges.
Step 3 å Fasten the BACK LEGS (I) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four BLACK 2-1/4" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (26S). Remember: Righty tighty. Step 4 å Fasten the LEFT END (B) to the TOP (C). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. HIDDEN CAMS that are not completely tightened may loosen, and parts may separate.
Step 5 å Fasten the SHELF/BOTTOMS (D) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten four TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. How to use the SAUDER TWIST-LOCK® FASTENER 1. Insert the dowel end of the FASTENER into the hole of the adjoining part. NOTE: The dowel end of the FASTENER must remain fully inserted in the hole of the adjoining part while locking the FASTENER. 2. Tighten the FASTENER with a Phillips screwdriver as tight as possible.
Step 6 å Fasten the RIGHT END (A) to the TOP (C) and SHELF/ BOTTOMS (D). Tighten four TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS and two HIDDEN CAMS. Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day. Step 8 å Insert two WOOD DOWELS (15F) into the FRONT LEGS (G and H). å Fasten the FRONT LEGS (G and H) to the ENDS (A and B). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. å NOTE: Be sure the WOOD DOWELS in the FRONT LEGS insert into the holes in the ENDS. 1 2 Flat edge H G Flat edge B A 15F Page 12 420139 www.sauder.
Step 9 å å å å Carefully stand your unit upright. Separate the EXTENSION SLIDES (Q) from the EXTENSION RAILS (P) as shown in the upper diagram below. Be prepared, the parts are greasy. Fasten the EXTENSION RAILS (P) to the ENDS (A and B). Use four GOLD 5/16” FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #1 and #4. NOTE: For each EXTENSION RAIL, turn a SCREW into the hole shown in the enlarged diagrams.
Step 10 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Lay the BACK (E) over your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (E). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å Fasten the BACK (E) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. Step 11 å NOTE: You have the option to fasten your DOOR (F) to the right or left side of your unit. The following steps will show the DOOR being fastened to the left side of your unit. DOOR ON LEFT F DOOR ON RIGHT F www.sauder.
Step 12 å å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Fasten the DOOR (F) to the LEFT END (B) as shown in the lower diagram. Use the screws in the HINGES. You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. å å Fasten the DOOR MOLDING (O) to the DOOR (F). Use two BLACK 1" PAN HEAD SCREWS (60S). å å Push the DOOR STOP (4I) into the hole in the RIGHT END (A). Fasten two HINGES (14H) to the DOOR (F). Use four BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (11S).
Step 13 å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å The DOORS may need some adjustments. Follow the text below to make needed adjustments. å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: To adjust the DOORS from side to side (horizontal) turn the adjusting screw in or out. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws. Move the DOORS up or down to the desired location. Tighten the screws after making adjustments.
Step 14 å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (K) to the SLIDING SHELF (J). Tighten two TWIST-LOCK® FASTENERS. å Turn the SLIDING SHELF (J) over and fasten the EXTENSION SLIDES (Q) to the SLIDING SHELF. Use four BLACK 1" PAN HEAD SCREWS (60S) through holes #1 and #3. This hole should be closer to this edge.
Step 15 å To insert the SLIDING SHELF (J) into your unit, line up the EXTENSION SLIDES on the SHELF with the EXTENSION RAILS on the unit and push the SHELF into the unit until the SHELF is fully inserted. The SHELF will push in hard until it is all the way in, then it will slide in and out easier. å å å Push a CAM COVER (13P) onto each visible HIDDEN CAM on the ENDS (A and B). NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly.
