Step 7 å å NOTE: The BASE (K) has a wood finish and a gray finish. You can position either finish to the front of your unit. Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day. Fasten the BASE (K) to the LOWER ENDS (C and D). Step 8 å Insert the MAGNETIC CATCHES (2I) into the holes in the TOP (E) and SHELF (G). For adjustments, turn the barrel counter-clockwise. 2I E G Page 12 418667 www.sauder.
Step 9 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Unfold one of the BACKS (H) and lay it over the top of your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (H). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å Fasten the sides and upper edge of the BACK (H) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). å NOTE: Do not nail the lower edge of the upper BACK at this time. å Lay the other BACK (H) over the bottom of the unit so it overlaps the upper BACK.
Step 10 å NOTE: The DOOR MOLDINGS (L) have a wood finish and a gray finish. å Fasten the DOORS (I) to the DOOR MOLDINGS (L). Step 11 å Fasten four PIVOT HINGES (15H) to the DOORS (I). Use four BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten the STRIKE PLATES (6I) to the DOOR MOLDINGSS (L). Use four BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (11S). 15H L IMPORTANT: Only fasten one PIVOT HINGE to each DOOR in this step. Step 12 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Insert the PIVOT HINGE, which is fastened to the DOOR (I), into the hole in the TOP (E). You will need to tilt your DOOR slightly. å Now, tip the DOOR in and fasten the free PIVOT HINGE to the DOOR. Use a BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (1S). å NOTE: To make adjustments to the DOOR, loosen the SCREW in the HINGE, make needed adjustments, and tighten the SCREW. å Repeat this step for the remaining DOORS. Pro Tip: Lift with your legs.
Step 13 å We recommend using the SAFETY BRACKET (1G) for added stability. Use a BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (1S) into the top of the unit and a BLACK 1-7/8" FLAT HEAD SCREW (2S) into a stud in your wall. Step 14 å Push the RUBBER SLEEVES (2R) over the METAL PINS (1R). Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A, B, C, and D). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (J) onto the METAL PINS. å å å å Center a SCREW COVER (20P) over the head of each SCREW in the LOWER ENDS (C and D) and press firmly. Push a CAM COVER (12P) onto each visible HIDDEN CAM. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly.
