Then, insert the metal end of a CAM DOWEL (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM. Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step.
Step 2 å å Fasten the UNIVERSAL CABINET RAILS* (35AA) to the RIGHT END (A) and UPRIGHT (C). Use sixteen GOLD 5/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (3S) through holes #1 and #3. Remember: Righty tighty. Step 5 å Fasten the BOTTOM (E2) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the BOTTOM (E2) to the UPRIGHT (C). Use two BLACK 1-15/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (113S). å Push a DOOR STOP (4I) into the hole near the notch in the UPRIGHT (C). Step 6 å Fasten the RIGHT END (A) to the TOP (D) and BOTTOM (E2). Tighten four HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the TOP MOLDING (M) to the TOP (D). Use three BROWN 1-1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (14S). å NOTE: Do not overtighten the SCREWS into the TOP. Maximum 210 degrees Arrow Minimum 190 degrees 14S Curved edge BROWN 1-1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREW (3 used in this step) Do not overtighten the SCREWS (14S). M D A E2 www.sauder.
Step 7 å Fasten three METAL BRACKETS (4G) to the BOTTOM (E2) and a METAL BRACKET to each END (A and B). Use five BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å NOTE: Be sure the BRACKETS are even with the edges of the ENDS and BOTTOM. å Fasten the SKIRT (J) to the BOTTOM (E2). Use five BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten the BALLAST (N) to the BOTTOM (E2). Use four BLACK 1-1/8" PAN HEAD SCREWS (9S). 4G J Don't worry. It isn't Rome. This can be built in a day.
Step 8 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Lay the SMALL BACK (G) over the small opening of your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the SMALL BACK (G). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the SMALL BACK (G) to your unit using twenty-four NAILS (1N). å å å NOTE: The LARGE BACK will overlap the SMALL BACK. Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse.
Step 9 å Fasten two HINGES (14H) and two HINGE SPACERS (22H) to the DOOR (H). Use four SILVER 5/8" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (23S). 23S SILVER 5/8" FLAT HEAD SCREW (4 used in this step) 14H 22H H Page 14 417146 www.sauder.
Step 10 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram. If it isn't, loosen the mounting screw to slide it against the stops. Then tighten the mounting screw. å Fasten the DOOR (H) to the LEFT END (B) Use the screws in the HINGE. See the next step for door adjustments. å You have the option of fastening a WOOD KNOB (60K) or a CLEAR KNOB (107K) to the DOOR (H).
Step 11 å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å The DOORS may need some adjustments. Follow the text below to make needed adjustments. å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: To adjust the DOORS from side to side (horizontal), loosen the mounting screw several turns, then turn the adjusting screw in or out. Tighten the mounting screw after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws.
Step 12 VIEW THE T-LOCK BOX VIDEO The tabs should insert freely into the slots. Gently tilt the DRAWER SIDES side to side until the tabs slip into the slots. 1 With the palm of your hand, tap the DRAWER BOTTOM down into the groove. 2 Un fi su nish rfa ed ce D30 D733 D30 D31 K K Be sure the DRAWER BOTTOM inserts into the DRAWER FRONT groove. Groove å D31 Insert the DRAWER SIDES (D30 and D31) at an angle into the slot at each end of the DRAWER FRONT (K).
Step 13 å å Insert a SLIDE CAM (10A) into the DRAWER SIDES (D30 and D31). å NOTE: The parts are marked "DRAWER RIGHT" and "DRAWER LEFT" for easy identification and the glides are not intended to rotate. å NOTE: The screw head in the CAM must be visible through the slotted hole in the SLIDE. å Repeat this step for the remaining drawers. If you're doing this to help a friend, don't leave without a bite.
Step 14 å You have the option of fastening a WOOD KNOB (60K) or a CLEAR KNOB (107K) to the DRAWER FRONTS (K and L). å Fasten the CLEAR KNOBS (107K) to the DRAWER FRONT (K) with a SILVER 3/4" MACHINE SCREW (20S) or fasten the WOOD KNOBS (60K) to the DRAWER FRONT (K) with a BLACK 1-1/8" PAN HEAD SCREW (9S). å Repeat this step for the remaining drawers. 9S BLACK 1-1/8" PAN HEAD SCREW (8 used in this step) (8 used) 60K 20S SILVER 3/4" MACHINE SCREW (8 used for the METAL KNOB) (8 used) 107K K www.
Step 15 å å Position your unit in its final location. We recommend using the SAFETY STRAP (60M) for added stability. å INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: (Also available at www.yl-anchors.com) 1. Insert the SAFETY DRYWALL ANCHOR (61M) through the WASHER (13M) and one end of the SAFETY STRAP (60M). 2. Using a Phillips screwdriver or a hand drill, press screw slightly onto the drywall. 3. Apply pressure; turn the screw until a pilot hole is made and the nylon sheath slips through. 4.
Step 16 å With a hammer, gently tap four SHELF SNAPS (8R) into the holes in the ADJUSTABLE SHELF (I). å Insert the METAL PINS (1R) into the hole locations of your choice in the LEFT END (A) and UPRIGHT (C). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELF (I) onto the METAL PINS so the SHELF SNAPS are resting on the METAL PINS. Push on the SHELF until each METAL PIN "snaps" into the SHELF SNAP.
Step 17 å To make adjustments to the drawers, loosen SCREW #2 in the SLIDES a 1/4 turn, then turn the CAM clockwise or counter-clockwise. Notice how the drawer raises or lowers as you turn the CAM. The higher the screw in the oblong hole, the higher your drawer front will be. The lower the screw, the lower the drawer front. By adjusting the drawers this way, it will help the DRAWER FRONTS line up better when closed. Tighten the SCREW when finished with adjustments.
