Then, insert the metal end of eight CAM DOWELS (2F) into each HIDDEN CAM except the long edges of the ENDS (A and B). Do not tighten the HIDDEN CAMS in this step. Do not insert CAM DOWELS into the long edges.

Step 4 å Fasten the LEFT END (B) to the TOP (C). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. å Fasten the SHELF (E) to the LEFT END (B). Tighten two HIDDEN CAMS. Step 7 å Turn four BLACK 9/16" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (32S) into the ENDS (A and B) until the shoulders of the SCREWS rest on the surfaces of the ENDS. å Slide the BOTTOM MOLDINGS (O) onto the ENDS (A and B). Line up the grooves in the MOLDINGS over the heads of the SCREWS in the ENDS. These edges should be even. Step 10 å Fasten three ANGLE BRACKETS (27G) to the TOP (C). Use three BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S). å Fasten the VALANCE MOLDING (N) to the TOP (C). Use three BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREWS (1S) through the ANGLE BRACKETS and into the VALANCE MOLDING. å NOTE: There are no pre-drilled holes in the VALANCE MOLDING. Step 11 å Carefully turn your unit over onto its front edges. Unfold the BACK (F) and lay it over your unit. å Make equal margins along all four edges of the BACK (F). Push on opposite corners of your unit if needed to make it "square". å å Fasten the BACK (F) to your unit using the NAILS (1N). Caution Do not stand the unit upright without the BACK fastened. The unit may collapse. NOTE: Be sure to tap NAILS into the holes that line up over the SHELF (E).
Step 12 å å Push four FEET (10E) onto the LEGS (J, K, L, and M). With your hammer, gently tap four TACK GLIDES (12E) through the FEET and into the LEGS (J, K, L, and M). 10E 12E L M J K 10E 12E Page 16 416967 www.sauder.
Step 13 å Fasten two HINGES (14H) to each DOOR (G). Use eight BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREWS (11S). 14H 11S BLACK 1/2" FLAT HEAD SCREW (8 used in this step) G G 14H www.sauder.
Step 14 å å Carefully stand your unit upright. å Fasten one of the DOORS (G) to the LEFT END (B). Use the screws in the HINGES. You should start each SCREW a few turns before completely tightening any of them. Pro Tip: Lift with your legs. And, you know, your arms. Before fastening the DOOR to your unit, be sure the mounting screw is against the stops as shown in the right diagram. If it isn't, loosen the mounting screw to slide it against the stops. Then tighten the mounting screw.
Step 15 å Refer to the enlarged diagram to identify the parts on the HINGES. å The DOORS may need some adjustments. Follow the text below to make needed adjustments. å DOOR ADJUSTMENTS: To adjust the DOORS from side to side (horizontal), loosen the mounting screw several turns, then turn the adjusting screw in or out. Tighten the mounting screw after making adjustments. å To adjust the DOORS up and down (vertical), loosen both vertical adjustment screws.

Step 17 å We recommend using the SAFETY BRACKET (1G) for added stability. Use a BLACK 9/16" LARGE HEAD SCREW (1S) into the top of the unit and a BLACK 1-7/8" FLAT HEAD SCREW (2S) into a stud in your wall. Step 18 å Push the RUBBER SLEEVES (2R) over the ends of the METAL PINS (1R). Insert the METAL PINS into the hole locations of your choice in the ENDS (A and B). Set the ADJUSTABLE SHELVES (H and I) onto the METAL PINS. å å å Push a CAM COVER (12P) onto each visible HIDDEN CAM. NOTE: Please read the back pages of the instruction booklet for important safety information. This completes assembly. Clean with your favorite furniture polish or a damp cloth. Wipe dry.
