6. Maintenance
This equipment is for printing important information in the form of
bar code and character.
Periodical preventive maintenance is recommended to keep the
printer in good condition.
Timing for maintenance.
Thermal head, platen roller:
After printing every one roll or 150 m of label.
Others:
After printing every 6 rolls or 900 m of label.
Caution for maintenance!
1. The above recommended cleaning frequency is just
an estimation. Do carry out any cleaning when dirt or
dust gathered.
2. Use applicator and cotton cloth for cleaning each
component. Avoid metallic tools to prevent damage
to printer parts especially print head.
3. Ensure that power is switched off before performing
any cleaning.
Cleaning method for printer parts
Cleaning of label supply unit and label guide shaft unit. Label guide
shaft unit can be removed by removing a set screw.
