4. SAFETY FEATURES
Platform Gate
The platform gate (shown in Figure 4) prevents the passenger from falling off.
This safety feature is optional for residential use and required for public
applications.

Safety Underpan
The safety underpan (shown in Figure 5) is located under the platform. The
underpan has sensors that detect any obstacles and stop the downward travel
of the lift.
