Notes on Checking Verification
To use this weighing instrument in legal metrology the setting “Trade” when the instrument is configured and the menu
access switch subsequently returned to the “locked” position.
So that not all parameters relevant for verification are intercepted, the display of metrological data and the available
weight units must be checked during the verification procedure.
Checking Metrological Data:
The metrological data Max , Min, e and d (d only on weighing instruments with e d) must be visible and correct
on the display.
Checking availability of weight units:

1. Select Setup M
2. Confirm “Balance/scale functions” O soft key
3. Select “Weight unit 1” q soft key repeatedly
4. Confirm “Weight unit 1” O soft key
5. Check whether only permissible units
are available for selection.
If units are available which are
not permissible in legal metrology,
open the menu access switch, put
the weighing instrument in service
mode, select “
Trade” as weighing
mode and remove the weight units
that are not permitted. Make sure
to return the menu access switch to
“locked” position after completing
these steps.
