SBI/BPI Toggling
SBI/BPI toggling is only required if it is necessary to overwrite the data
on the value processor.
Afterwards, it is imperative that you run the “Close Function” with the
Service Software “SARTOCAS” or with PSION. Turn the control unit “Off/On”
again once to re-activate the SBI protocol.
The BPI mode is not required for configuring the display and control unit
or for adjusting connected load cells.
Procedure for SBI/BPI Toggling
– Turn off the scale
– Connect the mode adapter (6740-63)
– Turn on the scale
– The weighing result is displayed. Then press the button on the mode
adapter for about 3 seconds (the display will go blank briefly)
– Release the switch
– Remove mode adapter
– Turn the scale off and on again
Replacing Fuses on the PCB
If the wrong load cell cable is connected to the contact strip in control unit, all
four fuses on the PCB may be blown.
Note:
Only technicians certified by Sartorius to work on explosion-protected
equipment may replace original fuses with an explosion protection rating.
Because of the different amperages, it is very important to make sure that
fuses are in the right position and that they have the right strength.
