CAPXS… Explosion-Protected Models
Warning! Only technicians with EX authorization and certification may service this
explosion-protected (EX) equipment. Afterwards, the scales must be resealed
using the adhesive EX control marks with the technician’s personal ID printed
on them.
Service Concept: On EX models,
only the complete subassemblies and not the components are
exchanged. After you have exchanged a subassembly, such as the PCB or
display unit, you may not perform any high-voltage tests because the scales
still have a potential field. A high-voltage test would destroy the electronic
components!
Important Note: For hazardous areas, weighing platforms are available in the stainless steel versions
only.
