4. EN 62311 REQUIREMENT
4.1 HUMAN EXPOSURE TO THE ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS
LIMIT
Systems operating under the provisions of this section shall be operated in a manner
that ensures that the public is not exposed to radio frequency energy levels in excess of
the following limits.
TEST RESULTS
No non-compliance noted
Since average output power at worst case is
IEEE 802.11b : 18.74 dBm 0.0748 W
IEEE 802.11g : 18.34 dBm 0.0682 W
IEEE 802.11n HT20 : 18.23 dBm 0.0665 W
IEEE 802.11n HT40 : 18.40 dBm 0.0692 W
IEEE 802.11a : 11.64 dBm 0.0146 W
IEEE 802.11n HT20 : 12.28 dBm 0.0169 W
IEEE 802.11n HT20 : 11.03 dBm 0.0127 W
which higher than 0.02W, which is the exempt condition as specified in EN 62311.
Therefore a exposure evaluation at a safety distance of 20 cm has been performed
(according to EN 62311 Section 8) and the resulting electrical field strength E proves
that this device will not generate the harmful EM emission above the reference level as
specified in EC Council Recommendation (1999/519/EC).
