Integrating Business Applications with Crystal Reports
Crystal Reports is the program that you use to create and format Crystal reports, and SAP
BusinessObjects Enterprise is the multi-tier system that allows you to distribute these reports over the
Web in a secure and managed environment. The SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 Integration
with the following business applications provides components that enable you to combine the functionality
of Crystal Reports and SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 to work with your choice of business
application:
• SAP
• JD Edwards (JDE) System
• Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS)
• PeopleSoft (PSFT)
• Siebel
Unlike in earlier releases, the integration for each application listed above has been integrated with the
SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 install. The SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0 install
program provides integration for SAP, JDE, EBS, PSFT, and Siebel . You can use SAP BusinessObjects
Enterprise to configure administrative tasks and use Crystal Reports to configure access to data in the
applications. You can begin to work with the data from different applications in Crystal Reports and/or
SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0.
