This format also provides an option for pagination. If you select this option, a page break is inserted in
the output after every specified number of lines. Page breaks in this format may not correspond to the
pagination of your report.
XML Legacy
XML is used primarily for data exchange. It is a record-based format that uses the Crystal XML Schema.
18.1.3.1.1 Exporting to a Crystal Reports Read-Only file (RPTR)
It is possible to create an RPTR formatted report from an RPT file either using the SAP Crystal Reports
2011 designer or programmatically using the .NET SDKs.
Creating an RPTR file in the designer exports the report in its current state. If there is data in the report,
then that is exported. If there is no data in the report, then just a template is exported.
It is also possible to create a new RPTR file from an existing RPTR file using the viewers that support
viewing an RPTR formatted report.
Note:
When attempting to save an RPTR formatted report using the viewers, the only available format is
RPTR. This is because you cannot save a read-only report as one that is not read-only.
Supported Viewers
The following viewers provide the ability to open and display an RPTR formatted report:
SAP Crystal Reports Viewer 2011
.NET WinForm Viewer packaged with SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010
.NET WebForm Viewer packaged with SAP Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010

report:
Printing
Exporting Destinations (with the exception of export toCrystal Reports and export to Report
Definition)
Save as RPTR
Refresh
Interactive Sorting
Attach to eMail
Supported SDKs
