Supports NAS Firmware version. No.:1.1.1 or later
A NAS* (Network Attached
Storage) is a single-purpose
server (server appliance)
that consists of a hard disk
drive, network interface, OS,
and management utilities.
Since a NAS serves as an
independent file server that
allows network file sharing, DSR-HB8000 allows the user
to store backup files on three different NAS systems. The
built-in file system and network communication capability
makes it easy to configure a system or make an addition
to existing systems.
* DSR-HB8000 DVR Utility software allows access to
backup data enabling the user to replay stored video or
extract data.
*NAS:
NAS is a general term referring to storage that is
accessible by the use of LAN (Ethernet, FDDI, etc.)
connected file systems, such as a NFS (Network File
System) or a CIFS (Common Internet File System).
