Maintenance and Cleaning
When the projection lamp of the projector reaches its end
of life, the Lamp replacement icon appears on the screen
and LAMP REPLACE indicator lights yellow.Replace the
lampwithanew one promptly.Thetimingwhen the LAMP
REPLACE indicator should light is depending on the lamp
mode.
Followthesestepstoreplacethelamp.
Lamp
For continued safety, replace with a lamp of the
same type. Do not drop a lamp or touch a glass
bulb!Theglasscanshatterandmaycauseinjury.
Allowaprojectortocoolforatleast45minutes
beforeyouopentheLampCover.Theinsideof
theprojectorcanbecomeveryhot.
CAUTION
Screw
UnplugtheACpowercord.Lettheprojectorcoolforat
least45minutes.
Loosenthethree(3)screwsthatsecurethelamp.Lift
thelampoutoftheprojectorbyusingthehandles.

Replacethelampwithanewoneandsecurethethree
(3)screws.Makesurethatthelampissetproperly.Push
thelampcoverandsecurethescrew.

Loosenthescrewandopenthelampcover.

ConnecttheACpowercordtotheprojectorandturn
ontheprojector.

•WhenMode 2isselectedintheLamplifecontrolmenu,
iftheprojectionlampoftheprojectorreachesitsendof
life,thelampreplacementiconappearsonthescreen,
andtheprojectoristurnedoffautomaticallyafter3
minutes.
 •TheLampreplacementiconwillnotappearwhenthe
DisplayfunctionissettoOff(p.48),during"Freeze"(p.27),
or"Noshow"(p.28).

Whenreplacingthelampbecauseithasstopped illuminating,thereisapossibilitythatthelampmaybe
broken.
Ifreplacingthelampofaprojectorwhichhasbeeninstalledontheceiling,youshouldalwaysassumethat
the lamp is broken, and you should stand to the side of the lamp cover, not underneath it. Remove the
lampcovergently.Smallpiecesofglassmayfalloutwhenthelampcoverisopened.Ifpiecesofglassget
intoyoureyesormouth,seekmedicaladviceimmediately.
