To turn TTYMode on or off:
1. Press Menu > Settings > More... > Accessibility > TTY.
(An informational message will be displayed.)
2. Read the disclaimer and press OK (left softkey).
3. Select On to turn TTY mode on.

Select Off to turn TTY mode off.
WARNING
911 EmergencyCalling
Sprint recommends that TTYusers make
emergency calls by other means, including
Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS),
analog cellular, and landline
communications. Wireless TTYcalls to 911
may be corrupted when received by public
safety answering points (PSAPs), rendering
some communications unintelligible. The
problem encountered appears related to
TTYequipment or software used by PSAPs.
This matter has been brought to the
attention of the FCC, and the wireless
industry and the PSAPcommunity are
currently working to resolve this.
Note
In TTYMode, your phone will display the TTY access
icon.
If TTYmode is enabled, the audio quality of non-TTY
devices connected to the headset jack may be
impaired.
