2.3.3.6 UPnP
The UPnP setting can be found under this path: System > Network > UPnP
UPnP setting:
 Enable UPnP:
When the UPnP is enabled, whenever the IP camera is connected to the LAN,
the icon of the connected IP cameras will appear in “My Network Places” to allow
for direct access.
Note:
To enable this function, please make sure the UPnP component is installed on your
computer.
 Enable UPnP port forwarding:
When the UPnP port forwarding is enabled, the IP camera is allowed to
automatically open the web server port on the router.
Note:
To enable this function, please make sure that your router supports UPnP and that it is
activated.
 Friendly name:
Set the name for the IP camera for identification purposes, e.g. the part number
or the area of surveillance (e.g. “gate 1”).
