2. Camera installation
2.1 Mounting
SNC-5312IR, SNC-5315IR and SNC-5323IR:
This camera has been designed for ceiling or wall mount. The camera comes with a pre-
mounted ceiling/wall bracket with integrated cable management.
1. Connect the power/PoE/alarm/audio cables from the ceiling or wall to the
corresponding connectors of the camera (also see chapter 1.5 “Connectors”,
chapter 2.2 “Connect to power” and chapter 2.3 “Connect Ethernet cable”).
2. Open the lid on the bottom housing.
a. Video test connector:
This additional video test connector can be used with the supplied adapter,
e.g. if you want to install a monitor during the installation phase.
b. Reset button:
Press this button if you want to reset the camera to factory default settings.
c. Micro SD card slot:
Insert a micro SD card, if required.
3. Once all adjustments are being made, close the lid thoroughly again.
4. In the desired installation location, drill four holes and mount the camera using the
supplied screws. Please make sure that you choose a solid basis which is strong
enough to carry the weight of the camera. If the supplied screws are not adequate for
your installation purposes, please replace them by more suitable ones.
5. Use the included torx wrench to loosen the bracket screws a bit to adjust the camera
into the right position. If you are satisfied with the camera position, tighten the bracket
screws again.
6. Sunshield:
Ensure to correctly install the sunshield. The inside front of the sunshield has a black
anti-reflex foil. The sunshield has to be mounted in a way that no “bright” areas of the
inside front of the camera is to be seen.
ATTENTION!
Please do not attempt to unscrew the camera housing.
All connections and settings are accessible from the outside.
The camera is equipped with a motorised DC vario lens and is adjusted via the web
interface. Never try to adjust the lens manually because it will be damaged!
Improper handling will invalidate the warranty!
